Our first post on this forum is "'Do Some Good' and Other Lessons from Practice for a New AAA Code of Ethics" by Elizabeth K Briody and Tracy Meerwarth Pester.<o:p></o:p></p><p class="MsoPlainText" style="margin: 0in 0in 0.0001pt; font-size: 11pt; font-family: Calibri, sans-serif;"><o:p> </o:p></p><p class="MsoNormal" style="margin: 0in 0in 0.0001pt; font-size: 11pt; font-family: Calibri, sans-serif;">The ethics blog will provide a (moderated) site for presenting cases and commentary, news and announcements, and public discussion of the statement and other relevant items. When the American Anthropological Association's ethics statement was revised and reissued as the Principles of Professional Responsibility in 2012, it was with the intention of establishing a living document, one that could respond in an ongoing way to the changing circumstances and ethos within which anthropologists work. With this goal in mind, the AAA's Committee on Ethics (CoE) was given the task of maintaining the statement in an online environment. The AAA Ethics Blog, officially released this week, represents the CoE’s effort to achieve this goal.
