<span style="font-stretch:normal;font-size:13px;font-family:Arial">Good morning and Happy Friday! </span><div><span style="font-stretch:normal;font-size:13px;font-family:Arial"><br></span></div><div><span style="font-stretch:normal;font-size:13px;font-family:Arial">I'm currently working on a white paper for the design thinking firm I work for, this one dealing with transnational youth in Generation Z (people born after 1998, who would currently be youth now but entering the workforce in many countries by the end of the decade). Does anyone know of any recent scholarship on transnational youth experiences, especially those that use multi-sited ethnography, digital/computer-mediated communication contexts, and take critical perspectives on power, resistance, and appropriation in the creation of youth styles? I'm especially interested in work that has a linguistic anthropological perspective to it, as design thinking has historically been dominated by sociocultural anthropologists and I'm looking to push boundaries on our thinking.</span></div><div><span style="font-stretch:normal;font-size:13px;font-family:Arial"><br></span></div><div><span style="font-stretch:normal;font-size:13px;font-family:Arial">If anyone has any leads on this topic (including your current grad students who may be working on these issues in a thesis or dissertation), please respond to me offline at <a href="mailto:nadumas@ucsc.edu">nadumas@ucsc.edu</a>. </span><span style="font-stretch:normal;font-size:13px;font-family:Arial">In the meanwhile, good luck to everyone on their current projects, teaching, and service.</span><br>
