My student works on Syrian refugees in Turkey and issues of gender and violence. I'm compiling a list of linguistic anthropology readings that will help her think through these areas of language, gender, violence, and migration. I'm wondering if anyone can
recommend books/articles/chapters on these issues. She's particularly interested in the language of gendered violence -- both language as violence and how violence is made unspeakable (or not). Thank you!!
