<span class="usercontent">CALL FOR PAPERS</span><br>
<br>
<span class="usercontent">The Society for Latin American and Caribbean Anthropology invites submission</span><br>
<span class="usercontent">of papers for our Seventh Annual Roseberry-Nash Student Paper Contest. The competition honors the work of two distinguished anthropologists, June Nash and the late William Roseberry for their multiple contributions to the anthropological
</span><span class="usercontent">understandi</span><span class="textexposedshow">ng of Latin America. The award will be presented at the next AAA meetings in Minneapolis, November 16-20, 2016.</span><br>
<br>
<span class="textexposedshow">The prize consists of <b style="mso-bidi-font-weight:
normal">
US $1,000</b> and direct consultation with the editor of the Journal of Latin American and Caribbean Anthropology toward the goal of</span>
<span class="textexposedshow">revising the paper for publication. The paper should draw on relevant</span><br>
<span class="textexposedshow">anthropological literature and present data from original research in any</span><br>
<span class="textexposedshow">field of </span><span class="normalchar">Latin American and Caribbean anthropology.</span><br>
<br>
<span class="textexposedshow">Requirements:</span><br>
<span class="textexposedshow">* Contestants must be enrolled in a graduate program in Anthropology</span><br>
<span class="textexposedshow">at the time of submitting the paper.</span><br>
<span class="textexposedshow">* Paper length: minimum 4000 words and maximum 6000 words.</span><br>
<span class="textexposedshow">* Languages: English, French, Portuguese and Spanish.</span><br>
<span class="textexposedshow">* Must hold a student membership in the Society for Latin American and Caribbean Anthropology (SLACA)</span><br>
<br>
<span class="textexposedshow">Papers must be submitted on or before Monday, July 11, 2016 to Cristina Alcalde. Please email papers as attached documents to cristina.alcalde@uky.edu. Submissions should be formatted as an MS Word file.</span></p>
