 was wondering which, if any, Israeli universities (or professors) have expertise in historical linguistics.<br><br>I'm particularly 
interested in language contact and am pondering doing research (MA? PhD?) on Yiddish vis-a-vis Hebrew and Farsi vis-a-vis Arabic - and comparing the two processes (I speak all of these languages and there is remarkable overlap in how Semitic languages have inter-played with the Indo-European bases in each case).<br><br>Thanks!<br><br>-Matt</div>
