<span style="font-family:"Times New Roman",serif;color:black">- We are a<span class="apple-converted-space"> </span><b>four-field department</b>: the faculty includes sociocultural anthropologists, archaeologists, biological anthropologists, and a
linguistic anthropologist. We are recruiting graduate students in all sub-disciplines.<o:p></o:p></span></p>
<p class="MsoNormal" style="text-indent:-.25in;orphans: auto;text-align:start;widows: auto;-webkit-text-stroke-width: 0px;word-spacing:0px">
<span style="font-family:"Times New Roman",serif;color:black">- Despite this broad representation, our faculty and students find<span class="apple-converted-space"> </span><b>common ground<span class="apple-converted-space"> </span></b>around a number
of themes, including but not limited to: medical anthropology and forensics, material culture and museum studies, urban and applied anthropology, biocultural approaches to race, food anthropology, and the anthropologies of Latin America, Europe, and the United
States. We also have a brand-new<span class="apple-converted-space"> </span><b>Concentration in Museum Anthropology</b>.<o:p></o:p></span></p>

<span style="font-family:"Times New Roman",serif;color:black">- With<span class="apple-converted-space"> </span><b>11 faculty members</b><span class="apple-converted-space"> </span>and approximately<span class="apple-converted-space"> </span><b>40-50
graduate students</b><span class="apple-converted-space"> </span>at any given time, we offer a space for intellectual collaboration in the heart of<span class="apple-converted-space"> </span><b>downtown Atlanta</b>. This is a face-to-face, supportive community
of teacher-scholars and diverse urban dwellers. Our faculty have active, funded research agendas<span class="apple-converted-space"> </span><i>and</i><span class="apple-converted-space"> </span>provide close mentoring to their MA advisees, who typically conduct
independent field research to complete the MA. Others complete internships at organizations and agencies such as the Centers for Disease Control.<o:p></o:p></span></p>
<p class="MsoNormal" style="text-indent:-.25in;orphans: auto;text-align:start;widows: auto;-webkit-text-stroke-width: 0px;word-spacing:0px">
<span style="font-family:"Times New Roman",serif;color:black">- <span class="apple-converted-space"> </span><b>Our graduates go on</b><span class="apple-converted-space"> </span>to work in fields from public health to refugee resettlement to museums
or marketing research. Others enter PhD programs in anthropology – often with full funding. This is an excellent program both for students who wish to enter professional fields immediately following the MA and for those who aspire to pursue doctoral work
but may not yet have the background, skills, and professionalism to do so.<o:p></o:p></span></p>
