Rebecca.campbell@uconn.edu</a> if you are interested in participating in a panel at the upcoming Society for Applied Anthropology conference in March 2019 in Portland, OR. The theme/tentative title for the panel would be, “Using Linguistic Anthropology to Improve
Education for Minoritized Groups.” Presenters discussing any minoritized groups, languages, and grade levels (K-12 or college) or general education concerns are welcome to participate but must include an applied component, recommendations, or real-world outcomes.
Papers on the panel thus far deal with indigenous Mexican languages and Spanish, Latinx K-12 students, and recommendations for improved tabulation strategies and better practices of language measurement during school registration. SFAA’s due date for submission
is 10/15.<o:p></o:p></p>
