One position is designated for an assistant professor, the other is open rank. Applicants with a focus in sociocultural anthropology, or socioculturally-informed applicants from the other subfields of anthropology, will be considered. Applicants from related disciplines are also encouraged to apply. The successful candidates will show evidence of scholarly excellence commensurate with rank, of accomplished teaching, and of active engagement with Native American and/or Indigenous peoples, thought, politics, and cultures.</div><div class="gmail_default"><br></div><div class="gmail_default">We conceive of the field of Native American and Indigenous Studies broadly, in terms of both geography and identity, and we are especially interested in work that critically engages these very definitional questions both theoretically and empirically.
