      The
      Applied Linguistics and TESOL program at Teachers College,
      Columbia University
      invites applications for a lecturer position in language and
      education
      beginning in Fall 2019. The position is renewable, subject to
      performance
      review and program needs. </p>
    <p class="MsoNormal"> </p>
    <p class="MsoNormal"><b style="mso-bidi-font-weight:normal">Responsibilities:</b>
      Teach graduate courses in classroom practices, teaching practicum,
      and
      technology in second language education as well as other courses </p>
    <p class="MsoNormal">in the broad area of language teaching
      pedagogy. The
      teaching load is five, three-credit courses in the academic year
      with the
      possibility of teaching up to two summer courses for extra pay.
      The candidate
      will need to advise M.A. students, serve on dissertation
      committees,
      participate in routine program administrative activities, and
      build and retain
      a research and professional profile in TESOL and Applied
      Linguistics. </p>

    <p class="MsoNormal"><b style="mso-bidi-font-weight:normal">Qualifications:</b>
      Earned doctorate in TESOL, Applied Linguistics, or a closely
      related field, a
      record of successful ESL/EFL teaching experience, a demonstrated
      record of
      graduate level teaching and teacher training, and the ability to
      work
      collaboratively. </p>
