Past projects have focused on materials housed at the APS as well as collections held at other archives and libraries. The fellowship stipend is $3,000 plus the costs associated with visiting the APS for the summer workshop with other DKS fellows. <br><br>These funding opportunities are supported by The Andrew W. Mellon Foundation Native American Scholars Initiative (NASI). Selected fellows will be associated with the APS’s Center for Native American and Indigenous Research (CNAIR), which works with Indigenous communities throughout North America and with scholars in many disciplines. The heart of CNAIR’s mission is working collaboratively to reconnect collections to communities. These efforts focus on enhancing access by providing digital copies of APS materials to Indigenous cultural centers, archives, language programs, and schools, and building lasting, collaborative relationships based upon our shared values of preserving knowledge of the past for the benefit of future generations.<br><br>To learn more about CNAIR, available fellowship and internship opportunities, and to browse the APS Library’s holdings related to over 650 different Indigenous cultures, visit <a href="http://www.amphilsoc.org/CNAIR">www.amphilsoc.org/CNAIR</a>.<br><br>All application materials will be submitted online via Interfolio (<a href="https://apply.interfolio.com/69465">https://apply.interfolio.com/69465</a>) by <b>Friday, March 6, 2020 </b>at <b>11:59 pm EST</b>.<br><br>Applicants will submit:<br></font></p><ul><li><font size="2"><span style="font-family:georgia,serif">C.V.,</span></font></li><li><font size="2"><span style="font-family:georgia,serif">An introductory cover letter explaining project,</span></font></li><li><font size="2"><span style="font-family:georgia,serif">Three letters of recommendation that offer support of the proposed project and speak to the credentials of the applicant,</span></font></li><li><font size="2"><span style="font-family:georgia,serif">For those working on a community-based project, a letter of support from the Indigenous community where the project is based is highly recommended.</span><br></font></li></ul><p class="MsoNormal" style="line-height:normal;margin:0in 0in 0.0001pt;font-family:"Georgia",serif"><font size="4"><font size="2">Contact regarding the Fellowship program and the American Philosophical Society Library & Museum may be directed to Adrianna Link, Ph.D., Head of Scholarly Programs, at <a href="mailto:alink@amphilsoc.org">alink@amphilsoc.org</a> or by phone at 215-440-3415.<br><br><br>Applicants: Please use Interfolio's help desk for any issues pertaining to the online application process.</font><br clear="all"></font></p><br>-- <br><div dir="ltr" class="gmail_signature" data-smartmail="gmail_signature"><div dir="ltr"><div><div dir="ltr"><div><div dir="ltr"><div><div dir="ltr"><div><div dir="ltr"><div><div dir="ltr"><div><div dir="ltr"><div><div dir="ltr"><div><div dir="ltr"><div><div dir="ltr"><div><div dir="ltr"><span><div><div><span><font size="2"><span style="font-family:arial,helvetica,sans-serif">Adrianna Link, Ph.D. </span></font></span><span><font size="2"><span style="font-family:arial,helvetica,sans-serif"><span></span></span></font></span></div><div><span><font size="2"><span style="font-family:arial,helvetica,sans-serif"><span></span>Head of Scholarly Programs<br>American Philosophical Society<span></span> Library & Museum<br><a href="https://www.google.com/maps/place/American+Philosophical+Society/@39.9486222,-75.1494434,15z/data=!4m12!1m6!3m5!1s0x0:0xc12102f09b11efe0!2sAmerican+Philosophical+Society!8m2!3d39.9486222!4d-75.1494434!3m4!1s0x0:0xc12102f09b11efe0!8m2!3d39.9486222!4d-75.1494434" target="_blank">105 South Fifth Street</a><br><a href="https://www.google.com/maps/place/American+Philosophical+Society/@39.9486222,-75.1494434,15z/data=!4m12!1m6!3m5!1s0x0:0xc12102f09b11efe0!2sAmerican+Philosophical+Society!8m2!3d39.9486222!4d-75.1494434!3m4!1s0x0:0xc12102f09b11efe0!8m2!3d39.9486222!4d-75.1494434" target="_blank">Philadelphia, PA 19106-3386</a></span></font><br></span></div><div><span>215-440-3415<br></span></div></div><a href="mailto:alink@amphilsoc.org" target="_blank">alink@amphilsoc.org</a></span><font size="1"><span style="font-family:verdana,sans-serif"></span></font><br></div><div><font size="1"><span style="font-family:verdana,sans-serif"></span></font><font size="1"><span style="font-family:verdana,sans-serif"></span></font>she/her<br></div><div dir="ltr"><font size="1"><span style="font-family:verdana,sans-serif"></span></font><br><font size="1"><span style="font-family:verdana,sans-serif"></span></font><div><font size="1"><span style="font-family:verdana,sans-serif"><br></span></font></div><br><span></span></div></div></div></div></div></div></div></div></div></div></div></div></div></div></div></div></div></div></div></div></div></div></div>
