Linguistic and Cultural Anthropology, to begin fall 2023, pending budgetary approval. Candidates must have a Ph.D. in Anthropology or a closely related field. We seek a broadly trained linguistic and cultural anthropologist whose research and teaching bridge
the subfields. Geographical and thematic areas of specialization are open. We seek applicants who can contribute to research on critical race and Indigenous studies, language and power, and language in sociopolitical context. Methodological areas of expertise
are open, but candidates with training in visual anthropology/ethnographic film, digital ethnography, and multimodal methods are especially welcome to apply. Successful candidates will have a demonstrated record of excellence in teaching, research, and publication.
Teaching responsibilities will include four courses per academic year in linguistic and cultural anthropolog</span><span style="font-family: "Segoe UI", "Segoe UI Web (West European)", "Helvetica Neue", sans-serif; font-size: 12pt; color: rgb(0, 0, 0); background-color: rgb(255, 255, 255);">y,
