<i>Women in Science, </i>the American Philosophical Society is 
organizing two international conferences that will explore the history 
of women in science, the present state of science and society, and the 
opportunities to create a more inclusive and diverse
 practice of science. The Society’s first gathering will focus on the 
themes “achievements and barriers,” while the second will focus on 
“opportunities.” Both conferences aim to examine these themes from 
historical, contemporary, and interdisciplinary perspectives.  </span><span style="font-size:12pt;font-family:"Times New Roman",serif"><span></span></span></p>

 program committee is now accepting proposals for the first conference

 Philadelphia on June 8-9, 2023. The conference will also be
