We are excited to announce that we will be holding the Seventh Annual Tulane Conference of Linguistics, or T-CoL, on
<b>March 15th, 2025</b> from <b>10 am-5 pm</b>. Our theme this year is “Making Language Material”. </div>

<span style="font-family: Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif; font-size: 10pt; color: rgb(0, 0, 0);">As spoken, signed, and invented languages move from discourse to physically recorded, many decisions are made. Additionally, over time, writing systems can change
drastically for a variety of reasons including technological innovations, outside influence, and underlying language changes. Regardless of the fluctuation of a writing script, it does systematize certain cultural aspects, including education, access to literacy,
and transmission of knowledge.</span></p>
