Petition to White House:

Please reinstate the Spanish links on WhiteHouse.gov

We, the undersigned, are committed supporters of our nation’s democracy and its fundamental principles: liberty, equality, and justice for all. Recent actions by the Trump administration threatened those principles, including the elimination – on Inauguration
Day in 2017- of links to information in Spanish on the White House webpage, WhiteHouse.gov. On January 22, 2025 the Trump administration again shut down the White House Spanish-language page and social media.

Liberty, equality, and justice FOR ALL require access to important information. Although the majority (72%) of native speakers of Spanish in the U.S. are also proficient English speakers (Pew Report 2021), other administrations have provided links to Spanish
versions of written materials, to ensure in-depth understanding of those issues.

We urge you to reinstate the Spanish links on WhiteHouse.gov, so as to confirm that your avowed goal to “make America great” includes the entire nation.
