<div dir="ltr"><div><p class="gmail-p1"><font face="arial, sans-serif">Dear Linguistic Anthropologists,</font></p><p class="gmail-p1"><font face="arial, sans-serif">It was great to see so many of you at the meeting in New Orleans<span class="gmail_default" style=""> a few weeks ago.</span></font></p><p class="gmail-p1"><font face="arial, sans-serif">I write because we continue to seek nominees for the Secretary-Treasurer position<span class="gmail_default" style=""> of the SLA</span>. <span class="gmail_default" style="">As you may know, t</span>he SLA Executive Board is made up of three elected Officers (President, President-Elect, Secretary-Treasurer) and three elected Members at Large.<span class="gmail_default" style=""> </span>If confirmed as a nominee for SLA Secretary-Treasurer, you would be added to the 2026 SLA ballot, with elections being held in <span class="gmail_default" style="">S</span>pring 2026.</font></p><p class="gmail-p1"><font face="arial, sans-serif">This is an opportunity to contribute to the next generation of SLA initiatives—collaborating with colleagues, mentoring students, and thinking seriously about institutional and structural change in our field.
