Internet Grammars ?

Dear colleagues:

I am sorry for too brief and therefore not quite correct
formulation of Frans's proposal. But I still think that making a
grammar available via Internet (with our without any ALT's help)
can turn out in contradiction with publishing it non-electronically
(simply, this will be against regular copyright conditions). If the
grammar is already published, one will have no right to publish it
electronically. If it is unpublished yet, it can happen that (s)he
will then have to choose, whether to leave it available on the
Internet OR publish it (if any publisher will be willing, after
all, to have to do with a grammar which has been available for some
time).
That is why the academic status which goes with an Internet
grammar should be high enough to make people willing to submit
grammars to "Internet series" INSTEAD of publishing books. And my
idea was that this is what ALT could provide.
