Dear Annarita,

Why Didn't You Ask Evans? -- to quote Agatha Christie.

Evans (Nick) has worked on what he calls 
Insubordination, and will provide you with 
further references.

Why not also ask Nikolaeva (Irina), who could 
tell you all, or at any rate much, about 
complementised non-finites appearing as 
(arguably) main clauses, with further references.
