The University of Zurich invites applications for a
 
Professorship in Slavic Linguistics
 
starting August 1, 2014.
 
Candidates should be able to teach a full range of courses in Slavic linguistics, with both synchronic and diachronic aspects. The main focus of research and teaching is the area of Russian linguistics; an additional focus is expected on West Slavic or South Slavic Linguistics. In addition, candidates are expected to participate in interdisciplinary projects, especially within the frameworks of the Bachelor and Master program in East European Studies and of the Zurich Center for Linguistics.
 
The candidate is required to have completed a habilitation or to have obtained comparable qualifications. In exceptional cases, this condition can be waived and a tenure track appointment as Assistant Professor will be considered. The teaching language as well as the official language of administration is German.
