[Lingtyp] references for sociolinguistic approaches to variation in minority languages

Dear colleagues,

could anyone share references to the studies on:

a. Approaches to inter-speaker variability in the use of grammatical
categories in minority languages - especially those applying statistical
analysis

b. Apparent time studies of variation observed in minority languages -
especially those on phonetic (phonological) variation

The smaller the language, the more appreciated is the reference.
