[Lingtyp] languages without word level stress

Echoing Ian Maddieson's caveat ("It depends on what you mean by “no  
stress”) I would dare to say that also some Basque dialects might be  
included. The weak linguistic role of accent has long been accepted  
(mainly established by Luis Michelena). On the other hand, from an  
applied perspective, it is one of the informal rules given to Spanish  
speakers acquiring Basque as L2: forget about giving an accent to  
every word and "sing" phrases (NP, VP).
