[Lingtyp] New name for "Mainland Northeast Asia"

I don't think it is the case that no one cares; I think it is more that it
is not easy to give the concept you have in mind an unproblematic name.

If I have understood you correctly, the core of the area that you have in
mind is the Eastern Steppe. Perhaps a name related to that?

Just a tangent thought: I have always thought of the area that you have put
"Outer Northeast Asia" across as more the periphery of the Mainland
Southeast Asia typological area than the periphery of the Eurasian Steppe
typological area. But your conception works too, I suppose. (I am using
"periphery" and giving hierarchy on purpose, given how typologically
abnormal Sinitic is.)
