Announcement of Vacancy<br>

The Department of Linguistics at the Max Planck Institute in Leipzig
has a vacancy for a Senior Researcher in the areas of language history
and prehistory, linguistic typology, and description of little studied
and endangered languages.<br>
<br>
The five-year non-renewable position is available from 01 January
2007; a later starting date may be negotiable.<br>
<br>
Prerequisites for an application are a PhD and publications in one of
the above mentioned areas.<br>
<br>
The salary is according to the German TVöD. The Max Planck Society
is concerned to employ more disabled people; applications from
disabled people are explicitly sought. The Max Planck Society wishes
to increase the proportion of women in areas in which they are
underrepresented; women are therefore explicitly encouraged to
apply.<br>
