A description of the research project can be found at <a href="http://www.mpi.nl/research/research-projects/syntax-typology-and-information-structure"><span style="text-decoration: underline ; letter-spacing: 0.0px color: #0000ff">http://www.mpi.nl/research/research-projects/syntax-typology-and-information-structure</span></a>. The doctoral fellows will be expected to conduct dissertation research in the area of the project, and background in syntactic theory (especially relevant are functional-typological models), in pragmatics/discourse analysis/information structure, or in handling field data is desirable. The doctoral fellows should already have an MA in Linguistics or an equivalent qualification at the time of taking up the fellowships. </span></div><div style="margin-top: 0px; margin-right: 0px; margin-bottom: 0px; margin-left: 0px; font: normal normal normal 12px/normal 'Times New Roman'; min-height: 15px; "><span style="letter-spacing: 0.0px"></span><br></div><div style="margin-top: 0px; margin-right: 0px; margin-bottom: 0px; margin-left: 0px; font: normal normal normal 12px/normal 'Times New Roman'; "><span style="letter-spacing: 0.0px">The doctoral fellowships are funded for 3 years (2 year initial contract with a 1 year extension).
