<DIV><FONT face=Arial size=2>Dear Typologists, it is very good that the
discussion on typology was supported by many typologists. It is especially
important that some leading typologists add their ideas to the discussion. It
gives much to the understanding and development of typology. My opinion is that
it is important to discuss the fundamental principles of linguistics more often
and by a wide variety of linguists. My students and I have no access to many
Western journals where articles on typology are published, that is why, some
titles mentioned in the discussion were quite interesting. We are looking
forward to the opinions of some more typologists to <A
