Dear typologists,<br>Hear are some updates on ALT9, in response to queries received:<br><br>1. With
regard to deadlines, we apologize for certain inconsistencies that have arisen. The deadline for receipt of regular abstracts is December 1, 2010, and that
for workshop abstracts is likely to be November 1. <br>
<br>2.  Like previous
ALT conferences, ALT 9 has a theme, "Typology beyond the West: Diversity in East Asian and other non-Indo-European languages" which is intended to highlight the interest of the region to typology. However, abstracts
on all typological topics are welcome and topics will be treated equally.<br><br>A second call for papers will appear on or before September 15th, with detailed instructions for submissions.<br><br>Regards,<br>Stephen Matthews<br>
