<div align="left" style="text-align:left;"><font face="Palatino" size="+1" color="#000000" style="font-family:Palatino;font-size:14pt;color:#000000;">The Institute of Anthropology, Archaeology and Linguistics of Aarhus University seeks an Assistant Professor of Linguistics (in Danish <i>Adjunkt</i>) to begin on 1 August 2011. The appointment is for three years; thereafter it is possible to apply for a tenured associate professorship in open competition.</font></div>
<div align="left" style="margin-top:10px;text-align:left;"><font face="Palatino" size="+1" color="#000000" style="font-family:Palatino;font-size:14pt;color:#000000;">The candidate should have a PhD or its equivalent in linguistics as well as teaching experience and the expertise and experience to develop research projects at university level within the area of specialisation.</font></div>
<div align="left" style="margin-top:10px;text-align:left;"><font face="Palatino" size="+1" color="#000000" style="font-family:Palatino;font-size:14pt;color:#000000;">The department is particularly interested in candidates with an expertise in neurolinguistics, psycholinguistics and/or some closely related discipline, who are also prepared to teach in at least two of the following areas: phonetics&phonology, morphosyntax, sociolinguistics, language acquisition. </font></div>
<div align="left" style="margin-top:10px;text-align:left;"><font face="Palatino" size="+1" color="#000000" style="font-family:Palatino;font-size:14pt;color:#000000;">Expertise in at least one (other) area of applied linguistics, empirical methods and/or statistics would be advantageous.
