Meeting Description:<br>
The aim of this workshop is to explore variation in perfect
constructions across languages, from synchronic, diachronic or
acquisitional points of view.<br>
<br>
Possible topics covered by proposals (but see the full Call for
Papers) include:<br>
<br>
- Synthetic Perfects: Description, Development, Analysis.<br>
- Periphrastic Perfects: Definite Past Time Reference and the
'Aoristic Drift'.<br>
- Evidentiality and the Perfect.<br>
- The Morphology of Periphrastic Perfects (including elision
and expansion).<br>
- The Grammaticalisation of Prepositions as Aspectual
Markers.<br>

The deadline for abstracts for The Perfect: Variation workshop is
May 31, 2015.<br>
We invite abstracts for individual or co-authored presentations.<br>
<br>
Abstracts may consist of at most 1 A4 page of text, not including
data, examples and references (data and references may carry over
onto a second page). Pages should be in 12pt font, with at least
standard 2.5 cm margins. Abstracts should be written in English and
saved as PDF format, with any phonetic fonts or images embedded.<br>
