allow scholars to present on a wide range of topics centered on any aspect of

welcomes proposals for organized sessions. 
This is an opportunity for researchers to present a series of
presentations that revolve around a single typological, methodological or areal
theme.  The presentations must be based
on original research focusing on the linguistic study of the Indigenous

more than one scholar and are expected to make a distinctive and creative
contribution to the meeting. Proposals for organized sessions are NOT reviewed

presentations focused on a specific theme, a major presentation with invited
discussants, and other types of sessions with a clear, specific, and coherent

outlining the purpose, motivation, length (either 1.5 hours or</span><span lang="EN-US" style="font-family:"Times New Roman",serif"> 3 hours), and
justification for the session, as well as the broader impacts (e.g., contribution
to community goals, social outcomes), as relevant.</span><span lang="EN-US" style="font-family:"Times New Roman",serif"></span></p>

organized sessions, who are from disciplines other than those ordinarily
represented by SSILA (linguistics and linguistic anthropology). Requests for
