A large scale (~400 language) comprehensive typological survey that is relevant is Leon Stassen,
<i>Intransitive Predication</i> (Oxford University Press, 1997). He analyzes strategies for object ("nominal"), property ("adjectival"), locative and action ("verbal") predication, their distribution across languages, and universals, synchronic and diachronic,
governing their distribution. One widely used strategy is his "Verbal" strategy, which may occur with any of the types of predication he analyzes, including object predication.</div>
