<span style="font-family:Times New Roman">I have tried to design a methodology called “profile-based analysis” for detecting linguistic areas.</span><br>
<span style="font-family:Times New Roman">Please find attached an abstract describing a preliminary analysis based on this methodology, which is to be submitted to a conference.</span><br>
<span style="font-family:Times New Roman">My doctoral advisor suggested that I look for previous studies that may have adopted a similar methodology.</span><br>
<span style="font-family:Times New Roman">I would much appreciate it if you could point to previous studies whose methodology may be similar to what I propose in the abstract.</span></div>
