<i>Emerging Topics in Typology</i>, which will take place as a series of online workshops between 25th October and 22nd November. Sessions during the conference are tailored to various time zones and the conference features presentations from current PhD candidates
in typology from across the world.<o:p></o:p></span></p>

<p class="MsoNormal"><span lang="EN-AU" style="color:#1F497D">Apart from showcasing
<a href="https://www2.helsinki.fi/en/conferences/emerging-topics-in-typology/schedule">
the work of the next generation of typologists</a>, the conference is also an opportunity for the typology community to meet, discuss current issues in the field and to introduce your current project to colleagues in an informal atmosphere during several side-events.
The conference arose with the aim of providing support to current PhD scholars, who have been particularly hard hit by the past two Covid-years, because of fieldwork restrictions and limited options to receive feedback from senior colleagues on their work.
But it also aims to provide a platform for all typologists to discuss, build connections and ask advice.<o:p></o:p></span></p>
