 (“Languages and cultures of Africa”) (LLACAN) within the European Research Council funded project, BANG: Investigating the origins of a West African language and population isolate (PI Abbie Hantgan). The position will provide an opportunity for an interested


 candidate to collaborate with a dynamic team of researchers to test the limits of what is possible in historical, computationally-supported linguistics and to discover hitherto unknown pathways of early human migration and settlement in the Sahel region of


 West Africa. </span></p>
