I recently asked for a couple of good recent surveys that would deal (at least
 in part) with speech acts.

These two books have been strongly recommended by several respondents :

(1)
Moeschler & Reboul (1994)
Dictionnaire encyclopedique de pragmatique
Editions du Seuil, Paris.

(2)
Schiffrin, Deborah (1994)
Approaches to discourse
Blackwell, Oxford.

There is also a small Que Sais-Je ? book on "La pragmatique" (Presses
Universitaires de France, Paris), author unknown.
