Does anyone know a transitional book(s)on the theory of
pragmatics, which is between Grice's classical theory and
Sperber&Wilson's "Relevance"?or How has the theory of pragmatics
changed from Grice to Sperber&Wilson?

I would be grateful for those who may be of great help to
me. Thanks in advance.

A colleague in Anthropology is wondering what maps might be available
showing the distribution of languages by family and region,
particularly for Africa. She would appreciate any tips on language
maps being directed by email to:

I am posting this message on behalf of a University of Cambridge
language student that is not on the list. He is looking for a course
or program in which he could learn a Native American language,
preferably taking place during school holidays. He is most interested
in Navajo, but will welcome any information offered. Do not respond to
the address of the poster but rather to:

        Richard Hudson : rph20 at hermes.cam.ac.uk

Thanks.
