2 Linguistes computationnels / Traducteurs (grade LA7/LA6)
 
Participation au developpement des couples de langues du systeme de
traduction automatique de la Commission ainsi qu'au developpement
d'outils d'aide a la traduction ou a la redaction de documents.
 
Des connaissances approfondies, avec references, dans le domaine de la
linguistique computationnelle, ainsi qu'une experience d'au mois deux

Fellowships/Internships in Applied Linguistics
 
MRM/Dunwoody Press is offering a fellowship/ internship in applied
linguistics for the less commonly taught languages.  Topics of special
interest include bilingual lexicography, reference grammars, and
readers in the languages and dialects of the Afro-Asiatic, Altaic,
Caucasian, Indo-Iranian, Niger-Congo, and Sino-Tibetan language
families.
 
The fellow/intern will work under the supervision of one of the six
MRM/ Dunwoody Press senior linguists and will be expected to produce a
publication-quality project by the end of the fellowship/internship.
The project may be for the completion of research already in progress
or for new topic.
 
Applicants should submit a letter detailing:
 
        * educational background and professional experience,
        * major research interests and publications,
        * a proposal and work plan for the research to be performed, and
        * names, addresses and phone numbers of three references familiar
with the              proposed research topic.
 
Fellopwships/Internships are available throughout the year.
 
The length of the fellowship/internship and stipend is negotiable.
 
MRM/ Dunwoody Press is located in Kensington, Md. and affords quick
access to research facilities in the Washington, D.C. metropolitan
area.
