        Dear List,
I'm working on my Master's that deals with teaching
writing in the context of academic engineering curriculum.
It seems to me that there was a boom of publications concerning
this issue in the late 70s - early 80s, but I could find
only a few recent publications. I know that there some very interesting
coutse at Michigan University but I don't know how to get any information
about it. If anybody can help me with sources or provide any information
about such courses in Noth American Universities, I would greatly
appreciate it.
I will present either a summary or a detailed bibliography as soon as
I have enough information.

Does anyone know how to get in touch with members of the Language
Planning Committee of AILA? I was invited to be a member of the group
after presenting a paper at the Amsterdam Conference in 93, but have not
heard from them after receiving the initial letter (which I have
misplaced!).

Who can provide me with references to the role of "invisible colleges" and
informal communication within organizations? I'm also interested in
(preferably examples of) formalization of informal communication, and in the
ways such formalization is realized.
