Subject: Text comparison program

Who knows/has a sophisticated text comparison program/algorythm ` la docucomp
(preferably Borland C source). If it is your own program, please mention the
price. It concerns a program capable of detecting all kinds of differences
between an original text and a derived text.

(Sorry for cross-posting this...)
Is there a mailing-list somewhere that is concerned with acoustics generally?
If not, it might be a very good idea to create one. JASA might serve as a
general guideline for such a mailing-list. For example, it might be
helpful to have a general medium in which every acoustical subject can be
discussed while being subdivided into categories.
The multi-disciplinary nature of acoustic research could thus be the basis
for interesting discussions.
If anybody has the time and electronic ressources necessary for the
creation of an acoustics mailing-list...

Does anyone know where/how I can get the following texts
such that I can access over the network?

Joseph Conrad: 1. Almayer's Folly
               2. An outcast of the island

I found Lord Jim through WW Web.
