I was told that "somewhere on the Internet" one can
supposedly find an interview with PIERRE BOURDIEU,
in which he discusses the intellectual field and gives
examples of politically correct speech.

Dear Linguist List Readers:
 
I am writing on behalf of a colleague who does not have e-mail.  My
colleague is interested in dialectology, especially of the Slavic and
Germanic languages, and as a MA student, was fairly active in this area
(but has no fieldwork experience).  My colleague would like information
on the following:
 
1. PhD programs in dialectology, in the U.S. or overseas.
 
2. Information on how to become involved in fieldwork in these areas;
names of individuals needing assistants or leading groups of student
dialectologists, etc.
 
Please send responses to jdatres at german.umass.edu .   If there is enough
interest in this area, I will post a summary.

Does anyone know if there's an online version of the Spanish Royal Academy
Dictionary (El dicionario de la lengua espan~ola)?  Teschner and Russell(1984)
refer to a computer generated inverse version of this dictionary created
by Prof. Russell including 89,000 nouns.  They mention that this inverse
dictionary was never published due to Stahl and Scavnicky's (1973)
reverse dictionary which was published in print form covering the same words.
I'm interested in any information which might lead to forms of this dictionary
(inverse or not) in computer format as well as indications as to their
availability.  Thanks in advance.
