Does anyone have an address for Sally Bates?
I'm trying to reach her in connection with some work she did on
the vowels of English. She did a PhD in Edinburgh in 1995, and doesn't seem
to be on the Linguist list.

Many thanks!

I cannot get any farther with Welsh grammars in exploring several
syntactic structures. I could use a linguist or two with competence
in Welsh to explore these structures further. Your time commitment
will be minimal, and your help will be greatly appreciated.

Hello,

I am a librarian in California. I am trying to find the following:

Linguistic Typology
Why Tongan does it differently: categorial distinctions in a language
without nouns and verbs.
Juergen Broschart
vol-6-997

I found LINGUIST List, Vol-6-997. Thu Jul 20 1995, which is apparently the
program for the Association for Linguistic Typology (ALT) meeting wherein
the paper I seek was presented. How can I obtain a copy of the proceedings
of this meeting, most specifically, the text of the above-mentioned paper
by J. Broschart?

I would be very grateful for any help or information you could provide.

Thank you.
