****Improved LINGUIST World Wide Web Resources****
We would like to announce two upgrades to our World Wide Web resources:
1. A NEW DATASOURCES SITE:
As well as distributing linguistic information by e-mail,
LINGUIST also keeps an extensive list of those linguistic
resources which are available by World Wide Web. This includes
software, corpora, language data, information on linguistic
programs, useful homepages, etc. This list is growing constantly,
since all URLs which pass through LINGUIST are now captured,
categorized, and indexed in an appropriate datasource page. Up
till now these files have been available exclusively at our Texas
A&M University site. We have now set up a second LINGUIST site,
at Eastern Michigan University. A full set of LINGUIST files is
now being kept at two locations:
Eastern Michigan University:
http://www.emich.edu/~linguist/datasources.html
Texas A&M University:
http://engserve.tamu.edu/files/linguistics/linguist/datasources.html
We will shortly be initiating a new hypertext version of LINGUIST at
Eastern Michigan as well.
2. SUBSCRIBER CAN NOW ADD LINKS THEMSELVES
We've also now set up Web resources which will allow you
to add new links directly to the LINGUIST datasources files,
and make them available to linguists immediately. All
you'll need is the URL and a brief description of the site.
To do this, go to one of the following URLs, and fill in
one of the forms we've set up there:
Eastern Michigan University:
http://www.emich.edu/~linguist/adds/addall.html
Texas A&M University:
http://engserve.tamu.edu/files/linguistics/linguist/adds/addall.html
We earnestly urge all subscribers who have Web resources, even
if only a personal page, to add their pages to LINGUISTUs
datasources files. These files are often of considerable value
to your colleagues.Sharing our resources will help greatly to
foster our research and our community.

Anthony & Helen
