Would anyone familiar with serious recent stylistic analysis of the essay form
please send along bibliography to Geoffrey_Russom at brown.edu. I'll post the
results. Bibliography for really important work on literary prose would
be welcome as well. My field is Old English, but I'm teaching a more general
language and linguistics course next year and would appreciate assistance
from those who have followed stylistics during the recent past (say the past
five years).
