PACLIC10: Confirmed Papers and Registration
10th Pacific Asia Conference on Language, Information and Computation
27th-28 December 1995, City University of Hong Kong
Response to PACLIC10's Call for Abstracts, closed at end of August, has been
enthusiastic. Competition was keen and abstracts received were sent out for
anonymous review at beginning of September. Papers accepted for presentation
include 18 regular long papers (30 minutes each in plenary sessions) and 19
short papers (20 minutes each in plenary sessions). Notification of acceptance
were sent out by e-mail/fax and air-mail at beginning of October, and
we are happy to announce that authors of the 18 long papers and 19
short papers have all acted promptly to confirm that they will be presenting
their papers at the conference in December. A list of these papers is
attached.
A number of papers have been kept as alternate papers. But as authors of
all the accepted papers have confirmed participation, we can only give
them a vote of 'thank you'. We really regret having been forced to drop
some good papers because of the keen competition.
Authors of accepted papers will have to submit camera-ready copies of full
papers (not exceeding 10 pages for long papers and 5 pages for short ones)
by 10th November. Authors failing to meet this deadline will not have their
papers included in the Proceedings.
A vote of thanks to all those who have submitted an abstract or otherwise
shown an interest in PACLIC10. A vote of thanks also to members of the
Programme Committee and other reviewers for having done a wonderful job
of reviewing the abstracts so efficiently.
A registration form is attached. All are welcome to register and attend this
conference.
A preliminary programme is under preparation. We are also working on
accommodation arrangements. While some participants of PACLIC10 from overseas
may like to take advantage of bargain passage-accommodation-touring packages
offered by tourist companies in their own countries, anyone who may need our
help in finding accommodation are welcome to contact us at:
