The LATTICE Language Links pages have been updated. Dead URLS have
been removed, and new sites added (these are marked with a 'new' gif.)
The URL for this site is:
	http://www.cltr.uq.oz.au:8000/nllia/nllia_db/langlink.htm

Or, you can also access it via URL
	http://www.cltr.uq.oz.au:8000/nllia
and then select the language links link.

There are over 300 sites listed and cover a wide range of languages,
and includes listings for linguistics, applied linguistics, literacy,
and other related sites of interest to the language-oriented web user.

Subject: On-line directory of linguistics conference proceedings

We are creating an on-line directory of linguistics conference
proceedings on our web site, as a public resource. It is in the early
building stages, and contains information on just a couple of
proceedings to provide an example of the information we are looking
for. The web address is:

http://www.cascadilla.com/proceedings.html

If you have information on a conference proceedings, please send the
info to proceedings at cascadilla.com. For each proceedings, we are
looking for the title, editors, date and location of the conference,
publisher of the proceedings, and if possible a table of contents (as
a text file or via e-mail).

We are not looking for information on edited collections of papers
which originated in conferences. Those books are adequately cataloged
elsewhere. We are looking for actual proceedings, where the papers
are basically the same as the talks that were given at the conference
itself.

We will be adding information to the directory as it comes in, and
we'll post an announcement to the Linguist list once the directory is
larger and has become a true resource. We also expect to add a search
engine to the directory in the coming weeks.

Yours,
  Michael Bernstein
