Linguists -
 
  I want to make a point in a paper that slow speech
as well as fast speech differs phonetically from normal
speech.  I know of a lot of publications on fast speech
phenomena, but not on slow speech.  Can anyone help
me with a few good references?

Subject:        nucleus placement
 
I am a teacher of English phonology in Argentina. I teach the subject
to prospective teachers of English at primary and secondary school
level.
I find the  subject of nucleus placement and broad/narrow focus very
difficult to teach because of the differences between the L1 and the
L2.  Can anyone suggest successful ways of getting this across along with
useful bibliography? I promise to sum up the material for the list.
