                        Faculty Position in American Sign Language (ASL)
                        Department of Audiology and Speech Sciences
                                                Purdue University
 
 
* Tenure track position available August 1996.  Rank: Assistant
Professor.
	
* Fluency in ASL and Ph.D. in related area required
 
* Candidates must be willing to teach ASL and pursue a long-term
research program in a related area.  Area of special interest is open.
 
* The Department of Audiology and Speech Sciences features a strong
 interdisciplinary faculty and staff of speech-language pathologists,
audiologists, speech and hearing scientists, developmental and
experimental psychologists, and linguists.
 
* Screening of applications will commence March 15, 1996 and will
continue until the position is filled.
 
* A CV, letter of application, selected publications/papers,
evaluations of teaching, and three letters of recommendation that
address the candidate's abilities in both teaching and research should
