Visiting position in theoretical syntax

Where? University of Potsdam, Dept. of Linguistics
When? Winter term 1996/1997 (=October 96 - March 97)
Minumum: 3 months, of which two must overlap with
the interval between October 10 and Feb. 10
Maximum: 6 months, of which two must overlap with the
        specified interval

What do we expect?
The visitor should teach two classes in theoretical syntax.
Knowledge of German is helpful, but not absolutely required.
The visitor's research program should be related to the
topics of our "Innovationskolleg Formal Models of Cognitive
Complexity", i.e. it should either relate to
        Minimalist Program
        Optimality Theory
Syntax & Parsing (either computational or psycholinguistic)

Formal requirements:
       "Eligibility for a German professorship"
        This means
PhD + published research not related to the topic of the
        dissertation, for most
Habilitation, if you are from Germany.

What do we offer?
Payment is definitively NOT BAD (East German version of the
salary of a German full professor C4)
What we perceive as a stimulating atmosphere at the department
