Boeing Information and Support Services, Research and Technology, has an
opening in its Natural Language Processing Program for a person who can design
and implement natural language processing technology in a research and
development environment as a team member and as a project leader.  The candidat
e
selected for this position will formulate state-of-the-art solutions to complex
information analysis tasks that require language understanding, including
grammar checking, information assessment and extraction, and natural language
interfaces.
 
Requirements for the position are: A Ph.D. in linguistics, computer science,
or a related field; strong programming skills in Lisp, Prolog, and C;
experience in designing and implementing natural language processing technology
,
including the software engineering aspects of complex system development
projects.
 
Boeing Information and Support Services, Research and Technology, is located
on a park-like campus in Bellevue, Washington, just east of Seattle.
