that the deadline for early registration is July 1, 1996. The

the ICSLP 96 web site. The registration form (in postscript) can be
copied, printed and returned by post with payment enclosed. If fees
are to be paid by credit card, the form may also be returned by FAX.

The Third Rasmus Rask International Conference
PRAGMATICS: THE LOADED DISCIPLINE
Tuesday and Wednesday 5 & 6 November 1996,
Odense University, Denmark
 
In recognition of Professor Jacob L. Mey's outstanding contribution to the
field of Pragmatics over the past 25 years, and his corresponding period of
service to the University of Odense as Professor and Chair in the Department
of Linguistics, the Rasmus Rask Conference Committee is holding an
international conference in Odense on the occasion of his retirement
in the autumn of1996.
	The theme of the conference, 'Pragmatics: The Loaded Discipline', is
intended to provide a forum for leading experts in the field to discuss their
views and perspectives on future directions in Pragmatics and to identify what
they feel will be the most significant developments in the years to come.
