PRELIMINARY INFORMATION
 
Booking arrangements: The 1996 Royal Institute of Philosophy Conference
will be held from Friday 20th to Sunday 22nd September, at the University
of Reading. Accommodation will be provided on campus in single study
bedrooms at Whiteknights and Windsor Halls, which are University Halls of
 
residence (we regret that no double rooms are available). Accommodation
fees include the cost of all meals from Friday lunch until Sunday lunch.
Meals (with the exception of the main Conference Dinner on Saturday 21st
Sept.) will also be taken in the Halls. Accommodation fees include ticket
for the main Conference Dinner, plus all other meals, and refreshments.
Accommodation without meals cannot be booked. For those not requiring
accommodation, individual meals may be booked as indicated on the Booking
Form.
 
The University of Reading is easily accessible from the M4 motorway, and
is a short bus or taxi ride from Reading British Rail train station. Fast
trains between London, Paddington and Reading, and between Oxford and
Reading, take 30 minutes.
 
Full details of the conference will be sent to those who register.
