is looking for linguists and social scientists for half/time  and
full/time employment on a 2 year contract:
 
Net. Payment: incl. Austrian Social Security
Master's degree
20 hours: 10.630,-US$
40 hours:18.706,-US$
Doctorate degree
20 hours: 14.899,-US$
40 hours: 25943,-US$
 
Requirements for linguists:
University degree, experience in discourse analysis, media analysis
or political discourse, perfect knowledge of German and English,
knowledge of French and/or Spanish will be an advantage, PC
knowledge.
 
Requirements for social scientists:
University degree, experience in political discourse, theory of
organizations, especially within the European Union, perfect
knowledge of German and English, knowledge of French and/or Spanish
will be an advantage, PC knowledge.

RESEARCH ASSISTANT
SCHOOL OF ENGLISH
THE UNIVERSITY OF LEEDS
 
The above post is available from 1 January 1997, or as soon as
possible thereafter, for a fixed period of twelve months to work on
the Leeds Corpus of English Dialects project, funded by the Leverhul
me Trust. The aim of the project is to transcribe and edit for
publication the unique collection of the Survey of English Dialects
tape-recordings held at the School of English. The post may be held
either full-time, or on a job-share basis.
 
Applicants should have at least a higher degree in English Language
or Linguistics. Interest in Dialectology and Language Variation
studies, and basic computing skills are essential.
 
Salary will be stlg14,317 p.a. pro rata (under review) on the scale for
research staff grade 1B.
